it doesn’t matter – nobody cares about that – the tangled web

“It doesn’t matter – nobody cares about that…”  Gosh what words. Oh the tangled web we weave… Apathy, one of the world’s most dangerous emotions…

Here lately, it seems that what we have here is a failure to communicate.  I think that I am saying one thing but the receiver comes out with a response that indicates that what I said doesn’t seem to come through as what I said.  Uh-oh.  This worries me.  Saddens me actually, because when you read the news, the whole world seems to be flying out of control at its center.  The gravity seems to not be working so well anymore.

I wonder…should I rapidly ditch all the people who purport ridiculous things – the haters out there – and yet… what they do, and how they act, make me feel hateful at times.  Ah.  This is it.  This is where I have to stop myself in my tracks and correct the course of my own behavior.

Yup.  And this, my friends, is not taught to the wee ones much anymore.  The trend is to let people – even encourage people – to say what is on their minds to anyone, and if they don’t listen, well then, it’s okay to threaten, and hey, in their minds, it’s seeming okay to get a gun that will mow down as many people in as short a period of time as possible.  Where has the lesson on keeping yourself in check gone?  Who ripped that chapter out of the books?

I know anger.  I know rage.  I understand how it feels.  But, I feel regretful for those times that I did act out – and my acting out pales by comparison to the acts of those who, here lately, have been engaged in some major acting out – this is world class disaster category acting out.  And it gives a bad name to a religion that really isn’t for that, any more than any other major world class religion.

To me, it’s bad behavior, bad manners, and a lack of self-control –  this is because someone did not teach their kids how to manage anger properly.  If someone is raised by an angry person or angry people, then they will consider this to be normal.  This is a problem.  Are we becoming an endangered species?  There was that post last year…

Anger moves to rage, and that rage is what makes people do unspeakable things.  I think that we need to think about it in these terms, because truly, all this blaming, doesn’t really give anyone a solution – and violence is not a part of the solution – it just creates more rage.

Encourage others to take personal responsibility for their feelings – by taking personal responsibility of your feelings and don’t stuff them until they burn – calmly consider what they mean, and try to process them without killing people.  Please.  Take a deep breath…

  • The emergence of patterns and when will we ever learn?

The emergence of patterns and when will we ever learn?

Here lately, the humans on this planet are really showing their bad side.  Like bored kids with big IQ’s, they are up to mischief that in their dreams will enable them to reach some sort of world domination type role – and it is beginning to look like a video game turned real-life.  I will say that it is starting to really fence me in, as we say here in The West, as in “Don’t Fence Me In”.  I don’t like this at all.  I don’t like the implications.

This is a very badly written video game…

Let’s look at this in very abstract terms:

    1. These people have an “evil plan” (judging from the outside).  So, what’s new?  Let’s look at ancient literature.  This “war” has been going on for centuries – one could say, “since the dawn of mankind”, and they wouldn’t be wrong.  At least, anecdotally, and in the historical record, there is good evidence to point to the fact that “tribes” or “clans” of humans go to war (e.g., throw stuff at each other, shoot things at each other, set things on fire, blow things up with: projectiles, things that go boom, things that zap, things that just basically do damage to whatever/whomever it with which it makes contact.  You might even consider that stuff laced with poison of some sort, or disease spores, or whatnot is considered yet another form of waging war human vs. human).
    2. The plan is to reach some sort of “goal” at which time “YOU WIN”, and the other guy loses.  The winner becomes “Master of the Universe”.  Yeah.  Just like in the cartoons.
    3. The declared winners are also “master blasters”.  They are “destructo-man”.  Maybe they destroy the other guy entirely, and everything around him that they possibly can.  Maybe they destroy everything attached to the other guy:  where he lives and works, his family, his stuff,  and everything around him.  Maybe they are  indiscriminate destroyers.  They just blow stuff up and kill people to make a point.  Yeah.  That’s what kind of humans that they are.
    4. Maybe it’s that they “enslave the losers and their families, and friends, and everyone around them that supposedly believe like they believe.  They then make “them” subscribe to their beliefs, “or else”.  The “or else” could be anything bad.
    5. The “winner” might even declare to the world how serious they are about their mission, by chopping off body parts, or killing some of these humans, and video recording this – and putting this on YouTube, so that everyone with a mobile or desktop computer can see this.   This is called “claiming responsibility”.  It’s all the rage in the “best practices of world domination”.   At any rate, they are making certain that everyone knows — because “it’s all about THEM”, right?  If it was really religious, it would be about the religion, but the authorities of the religion say that in its philosophy, this is not a part of the true religion, so that means that these “winners” are being labeled as “extremists” or “radicalized” – and that puts them in the “bad boy box”. ) This is part of that psyche of “Being the “master of the universe”.  Yeah.  Movies are made about this kind of stuff.  These humans just bring it into “real life”.
    6. The point of what they are doing is trying to get the whole world to freak out.  They enjoy this.  It’s part of the “thrill of it all”, the “self-endorsement”, the notion that “you are doing something important”.   Congratulations.  They are now official bad-guys – part of the “bad guy affiliate network”, fully indoctrinated into the “bad guy hall of fame”.  This makes them even angrier, no doubt, so that the energy derived from this anger spurs them on.  It’s that “ah-ha!  See!  Everyone is my enemy!”  To them, this makes it OK in the mindset of rationalization, to continue on the destructive path… The road to nowhere.
    7. What ends up happening is not that they are celebrated, but that they are hunted down.  Maybe they like this part, too.  Maybe it is all a part of the “thrill” of the chase, playing this game that they may have thought up, because they were bored, or somebody made them feel badly, or any number of reasons for feeling disenfranchised –  and because maybe their IQs are so high, they used their gifts for this kind of “game”.  Or maybe, as they claim, “this kind of religious belief”.  Driven by God?  What God?  What mandate?  This is that which most of the rest of the world cannot understand.  It is bent on destruction — of the world as we know it, and it is happening bit by bit, incident by incident.
    8. It doesn’t end well for “winner or loser”.  Bottom line, it’s a wasteland – of lives, of resources, of energy.  The anger is fed, and the anger grows.

This is a very sad state of affairs.  This game is not a game.  It is very real.  It is like a cancer, with a treatment that is ineffective.  The side-effects are bad.  The resulting anger on all sides, contributes to the inevitable destruction of the host — planet earth.

It is a part of an illness of our human race.  It is not going to end well.  The seriousness of concurrent events appears to be driving us to some sort of brink.

Are we living out the predictions of many prophets and scholars who have forecast that this type of situation would occur?

Who knows the answers… time will tell.  But heavy praying and making small changes every day in how we live might help – and it doesn’t matter who you pray TO, so long as it is praying for the peace of the world.  It’s coming on that time of year – primavera, Easter, Passover, and all the other renewal holidays and celebrations of new life.

The mourning dove is cooing outside my window…

as slow as Christmas…but, it is not slow anymore.

    DCF 1.0

Astoundingly fast the time goes these days.  When we were kids, we used to say “as slow as Christmas” when we thought that something was taking a long time.  We were always waiting for Christmas to come around again.  The dramatic lead up to the climax of the eve before the big day.  Loved “The Christmas Story” movie about the kid and the bee-bee gun – absolutely one of the best Christmas movies out there…  Likely, the kid thought that things were indeed moving slowly as he wished and hoped that Santa would deliver his dream!

I was running the other day and had these thoughts, as I do, about this phenomenon of time moving faster as you get older.  Well, unfortunately, I forgot it (mostly), as you do, when your endorphins go back down to normal levels after the run.  Shit.  I hate it when that happens.  I lose some of my best insights that way.  Sometimes I record these, but then I get nervous and feel like I am on radio.  It completely upchucks the thoughts and garbles the original flow.  I wish I could invent something that could record these important insights in my brain and not look like really screwed up garbage.

I don’t have the comic strip anymore, but years ago, Dagwood Bumstead (of the comic strip Blondie) awakened and opened up a notepad on his bed stand after having a brilliant flash of insight when he was dreaming – and what he found the next day was a bunch of nonsensical words written down, much to his chagrin.  That would be me!

I get a little depressed that my time on earth is now within that realm of “realizable”, as it now has the potential to be no longer than my longest marriage relationship, statistically speaking.  In addition to this, we all, as we age, begin to see each year more people taking off due to unexpected circumstances and early-onset illnesses.  Big fat finger in your face, reminding you that you are not in control here.

My neighbor told me the story of asking her dad on his 70th birthday, “Dad, how does it feel to be 70?”  She said he was not happy being asked that question.  He told her to consider how she would feel if she knew that she had more years behind her than the number ahead.  I had a similar experience with my Dad when he was in his sixties.  He got really grumpy when I made a bad attempt to be humorous about his age.  My bad judgment and lack of understanding got me into some deep doo-doo on that one…

Yep, it’s a fact.  No matter which flavor of religious affiliation you are, generally speaking, you are mainly being prepared for leaving the planet as you listen to sermons and read about what prophets say.  This time of year, the joyousness of the season is infectious and people of various faiths do celebrate The Holidays together as much as they can because it is positive and cheery – everyone feels good, mostly, when they get out and party in a positive way with people.

As an analyst, looking at religions across the spectrum, the preparation for “what’s next” in the human experience and birth-life-death-re-birth (or not) is the one common denominator.  We see that some religions more focus on the here and now, and some focus on the within more than the without, and some focus on the after, more than the now, but the departure in all its forms, of leaving the body in which we are living presents a major event horizon that triggers something else in the belief systems of major and minor religious philosophies.  Besides Death, Birth is that other one single event that is viewed as important, as it begins a cycle of life on the planet.  It is all wondrous and never solved definitively, likely by design by someone or some thing.

People dedicate their entire lives to the solution.  They go into the forest by certain trees and sometimes get so far in that they lose sight of the original point that they are trying to solve – or rather the mystery – maybe it is not a problem, just a condition, or a situation.  Whatever.

IMG_4601The trees still have green leaves on them where I live.  Some of these are supposed to have fallen off, or at least be brown or some other color besides green.  We have constant change in our environment that poses big world problems or problems of the planet.  We watched the movie, “Interstellar”, the other night.  It was one of the physics and math will solve this if someone smart enough can do this in time types of movies with the added aspect of the explorers going outside to look for a new planet, just in case, even though most people will be dead back home because of the time warps and distance issues.

You know – it’s enough to entertain you, and make you a little anxious.  Half-facts, with the seasonings and flavorings borrowed from Contact, Mad Max, and other such movies.  We didn’t see aliens – they were missing.  But then ahead of this, there was the boring war movie that had the alien spaceship and when I am falling asleep watching movies, they tend to merge into one plot.  Or I get distracted and the movie isn’t that meaningful, so I go surf the net, or go on Facebook.  I mean, how many ways can you slice and dice the plot lines?  It’s all about the same thing.

Redux.  Is there anything new under the sun?  No, not really.  It is, as I said in one of my other posts, all matter just recomposed and reconfigured.  Stuff just isn’t produced – it is reconstituted.  Think about it.  How would anything really leave and how would anything else come in?  Hmmmm.  Think of the options.  According to some folks who are “in the know” – it hasn’t happened that anyone can prove…  At least not yet, right Agent Scully?

So, what was I saying?  Slower than Christmas?  Whoever thought that up was just trying to be clever.  I am with you.

splashWhat I do know is that Humor IS required!  Without it, you are sunk.  “Bottom of the ocean…”

And before we know it, it will be Christmas Day.  We should celebrate something – any aspect of our lives that has reflected positively and gives us hope – definitely, it is a time to reflect on new beginnings and try to not think about the anxieties of the world.

What do I want for Christmas?  Twenty-four hours of no television, of good conversation that is not negative, with reflections of good times and gratefulness – peace for a day.  Longer if possible.  That is what I would like for Christmas this year.  Oh, and good health.  Yeah, that would be good – for the entire family.

We will save prosperity wishes for New Years!

    Happy Holidays from the family!
