    armageddon

Before I went to sleep last night (with difficulty), I prayed that something would change what I knew in my gut was happening.  incredible.  unimaginable.  how in God’s green earth could people be so stupid as to elect disruption into an already disrupted world?  the provocation that likely will ensue is one that even with a little imagination might take nightmarish proportions.  now, I am wondering just how long after inauguration day it will take to begin unfolding.

will a year from now, there be the song playing, “How Do You Like Me Now?” as we have seen our nation go down in flames (possibly literally so)?  be careful what you wish for… and the sad thing is that few who voted for this man realize that he will not be able to do a damned thing to help them out of their pain – nor does he even care about them or want to help.  mark my words.  this is not reality television – this is reality.

I have not in my six decades and twelve election cycles ever felt this level of fear, despair and total concern for the welfare of our country, and all of my family who live here.  For my grandson, my precious little one, what will happen?  When he is entering kindergarten, or first grade, will his world be very different or will there be so little left for him that life will be a tough row?

running a country is not like running failing businesses and being a television personality.  you can’t “deal” your way out of certain situations by bullying people and making “power plays”.  you can’t parade your “glam fam” and have serious leaders have respect for you.  I suspect that waking up this morning for “The Donald” might be having a very sobering effect on his personality.  now he has to deliver or risk ridicule beyond his wildest imagination – the push-back will be real, the shoulders will be cold, and when he cannot walk the walk, his followers will go against him like no one will believe – and they are armed, and they are dangerous.

God help us.  The world is at real risk now.  Like never before, it is truly going to be a rocky road ahead…

the randomness of it all stream of consciousness

good morning sunshine.  as i sit here today, it’s november 8th.  it is election day in the us.  the oracle has warned us.  we wait.  we have the predictions of the outcomes.

we watched the tiny town of dixville notch in new hampshire, live on television, have their first live voting just after midnight in the tiny town in the tiny state.  we watched them count votes and post the results on a whiteboard.  there was one write-in for romney.  hillary won that town.  trump got two votes.  no one would admit to voting for trump for fear of embarrassment.

i am, like roughly half of the people in the usa, a democrat.  apparently, i am a “moderate”.  that makes sense, as the extreme left of the liberal scale makes me squeamish in some ways but, the extreme right of the republicans scares the shit out of me.  this year, that extreme right is jumping out of the bounds of the republican party.  even they say so mostly in private, but some in public.  the left of the democrats are not that bad.  to me, the lake is getting ready to turn over, like after the civil war (hopefully, the only one we will have), the republicans became democrats and the democrats became republicans.  that does your head in.  my grandma told me stories about this.  my family mostly are democrats.  my grandparents were republicans, my dad was, too, but my mom was a democrat in the later years like her brother, and my cousins.

this will be another election day.  how many for me?  let’s see. twelve it is, counting this one.  my first was voting against nixon in 1972, who i sensed was quite evil.  nixon won.  it was sad.  the results of his election were that his criminal behavior forced him to resign.  i was right.

the next election was in 1976.  due to that bad boy nixon’s escapades, he had resigned and ford was running against carter.  i voted for carter.  he won.  carter was actually the wisest president that has ever held office, since obama, who actually is the wisest so far – but the forces of the republican party were against him and disgraced him.  interesting that he is a go-to guy these days on perspectives about world affairs.

the next election was in 1980.  that was reagan beating the socks off of carter.  everyone loved reagan for some reason.  i didn’t.  i didn’t like his hair or his shoes.  bad hair is a bad sign.  it turns out to be true every time in politicians.  but people loved him like he was some sort of santa claus.  go figure.  i just thought he was a washed up hollywood actor.  oh well. he was in for eight years.  fading towards the last of it, he was starting to stumble.

next was the year that bush senior won the presidency in 1988.  the next one in 1992 people were a bit freaked out by what happened under bush.  bill clinton came into office and stayed eight years – it was mixed but good for the economy – he just did not always exhibit presidential behavior – his johnson got him into trouble which i consider a personality defect.

then came little bush.  oh my god.  the country changed as his presidency ended up dashing the economy, taking us into a war waged based on pretense, and it introduced the beginning of a marketing machine that has not stopped.  obama inherited the mess left by eight years of bush, and the audacity of the republican propaganda machine was to blame him for it!  unbelievable.  this is when the double-speak really mushroomed.

now we have the trump vs. hillary and the incredible and outlandish behavior exhibited and licensed by trump has taken hold.  in looking at past elections, it is interesting to see how relatively close they were in certain circumstances and how certain states have more pull due to the electoral college – which makes me wonder – is it really a good thing?  i always wonder about this at this stage of the game.

now we pray that the whole system works well.  if hillary is in, then we likely will not see drastic changes; but if trump is in – this is when we will really put the system to the test – how to deal with a president who has erratic behavior, who says one thing, then says he didn’t say it, who angrily lashes out at whole groups of people that he loved the day before, and will not be transparent about anything (even though he says he is).  what we do know is that he is a philandering, adulterer, who brags about it (at least the past ones tried to keep out of the public eye)… who allows people at his events to threaten to do illegal things (like hack, kill, or other acts of violence), and by not discouraging it, he condones the behaviors.  He unleashes the hatred, the prejudice, and the qualities that people have tried to make against the law to show in public over years of social reform.  He takes us back – he says he wants to make us great again – I don’t like his definition of great.

    now we pray.
    God help us all.  Please.

    astrology forecast

ellens-astrology-chartAstrology Forecast: “be wary of your Facebook feeds today – Mercury is in a tenuous position – there may be those feeds inserted by media marketers designed to throw you off track emotionally or try to influence you – check sources – do your own research and do not believe predigested news that you have not used your own mind to evaluate properly and consider”

Yes, you may have forgotten how to do this – to use your own brain to THINK! Do not lose heart – it is still within you to use your own brain equipment to think for yourself – ASK yourself, if you read these items:  “is this reasonable and fact based?”

Like writing in cursive, this “thinking for yourself” is becoming a lost art – “group-think” is trying to take over and your brain is getting lazy and sleepy if you let that happen to it –
Fear not! You are human! (unless you are a dog reading this – or a cat…) You do have this capability (still) if you simply let yourself use your OWN brain (and not that of some pundit!) – you can avoid reading those upsetting things pushed in front of your nose, designed to upset you by media marketers (yes, this is true – check it out – just google it!) You can shut off the noise by right-clicking the entry and choosing “I don’t want to see this” – or clicking “the X on your browser tab” to banish the upsetting content, or shutting your browser or closing an app or turning off that awful yelling and anxiety producing garble that comes from your television!

Disconnect from the internet!  Why do you trust WikiLeaks and those that hack into people’s emails?  Are you a voyeur?  It seems that way.  The reality is that they are thieves.  They steal stuff – do you trust a burglar?  Really?  Simply that’s what they do:  hack and steal other people’s stuff – passwords, emails, bank account info, medical records, God only knows what else – and you choose to trust them – there IS INDEED something wrong with how your brain has become…  Something terribly wrong.

But you cannot help yourself these days, it’s everywhere – pushed at you constantly!  …then you go read it and use it to influence your thoughts and your actions – can you validate that they are not making this up?  C’mon.  Think about it!  Really?
What if it was your e-mail that they hacked into?  How would you like that?  And you support this?  Yes you do, by reading and trusting that this is a true source.  Just because they say they took it from somewhere does not make it true.

Just turn that TV off and notice the peacefulness that ensues – you will feel suddenly calmer… wow – how is that? Go put that mobile device in a drawer for a few hours – or for a real treat and some peace, a whole day! Wow – you might not remember how it was before all of this onslaught of noise into your life from every direction!

Stop and take a pause. Try to remember when things were less crazy.  Can you?
DadAndLittleMeAge3orSo copyThink of the person in your life whose logic and judgement is (or was) solid – what would they do? I think of my Dad.  He would debunk everything that was like what we see on the news today – the conspiracy theories, especially.  Heck, he even thought that organized religions were a sign of weakness at times in his life.  He questioned EVERYTHING that any group pushed out.  He called it propaganda – a word from WWII that was an indicator of what enemies were telling their citizens to have them rise up and support the war – people like Adolf Hitler, Mussolini, Hirohito, and others who attacked the US and its people – and at times people like Joseph McCarthy and the John Birch Society perpetrated vast conspiracy theories because they were afraid and felt that people were out to get them.  It takes people off track to ask them to believe 100% in something that, when you really think it out, would be quite difficult for anyone to achieve – as a very wise man, Mahatma Gandhi said, “When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.”
And he also said, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” as well as, “First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win.”
Start simple. Know that big changes do not happen quickly to the masses. In YOUR reality, how do you think this or that conspiracy theory that people are desperately trying to get you to believe would play out? If you were “them who would do this to you and yours” how would you actually do whatever it is that you fear the most? the main thing is to use your brain to THINK and not REACT – and certainly, not to PANIC…
If you PANIC, everyone around you will either think that you are nuts, or they will panic too – do you want to be a part of that? Seriously?  Think about it.  Be the calm.  Inject reason and rationality.  Stem the tide.

You have control of you and only you.
