tired. can’t decide should i just turn in

one of those days.  can’t turn the mind OFF.  you know with so much going on in the world, it hardly is a rest at any time.

you get into the place where you are staying and you know someone has been there, without telling you… and why?  you know because they left a light on in the hall – that you did not leave on when you left in the morning.

nothing else is changed.  nobody left anything.  no deliveries.  creepy.

look in the closets, look under the bed (too narrow for a person to be under there).  look in the shower.  shreeky music in the background… nobody.  look in the utility closet.  nobody.  whew.  but, why?  because they can.  freeeeKEEEEE…

hmmm. sure will be good to get home for a few nights… yess’m.

probably, if someone was here, i am so tired, i would just make a face and say, “what are YOU DOING HERE?”  maybe say, “leave me alone” and make this face:

what i would do if there was someone hiding here…

then maybe they would go away.  yes.  GO AWAY.

    Sleepy Beyond Imagining.

Nearly 10 PM.  I got here and got through the scary interview, my mind racing about what I would do if… but I did keep calm, and did not panic, and things worked out okay.  Good to not panic.  Then I had to discern if I should give all my money to the lady to pay for the darned thing – gosh $155 – cost of doing business.  Yup.

But it has been a crazy week.  Many ups, many downs, many all arounds.  Scary how things go in the world.  Airplanes being blown out of the sky – by some idiot who thinks he is fighting and winning somehow but stupid at it?  Good grief.  I guess whoever said, “The idiots have won.”, is not wandering far from the truth these days.

Sure makes you think about lucky stars and blessings to not have been in the wrong place at the wrong time…  “Is it all just controlled chaos? we ask… how could this be?

Our friends in that little country with such rich resources and the friendly people – hammered by these bad things happening.  I know that they must just be stunned.  Prayers to all of these people.

My eyes are falling out of my head at present.

Must get to bed so that I can get up in the morning… off to work I go!

dark matter…evolution…96% we just don’t know, and how that makes us anxious…

so far, i think that the best way to handle the anxiety is to “let go of what you cannot control, and that which is on auto-pilot will take care of itself” (junk like breathing, your heart beating, your brain working, etc.)

but it really is not always reassuring to watch it change and to watch the world and to think back and STOP… remember, it is not really valuable to do all that thinking…  Really?  well. it just happens.

constantly, stuff flies into my face.  i saw this today  – read it for yourself (click to link)

    Ancient Plague’s DNA Revived From A 1,500-Year-Old Tooth…

and all of this “stuff” came from somewhere. right?  and i was reading an interview of Lee Randall in The Smithsonian Magazine

and it really got me to thinking about how little we actually know, and how much we actually don’t know about our world, universe, cosmos – and then i thought of the perception of that it is so busy and so vast – and realizing that it is all the “input” that we get now, that we never got before a long time ago… in my grandmother’s day… gee, it was newspapers, and letters, and gossip – and then came television, “Huntley-Brinkley”… and Walter Cronkite…

Is it any wonder that we get so revved up with so much stimulation by information coming at us?  no, not really.  our choice is to just “shut ‘er down, clancy” do a temporary shut-in when it gets to be too much…

“for fast acting relief, try slowing down” – great quote from Lily Tomlin…
